Arkhaderesse and unique wines
Near the foot of the Cape Meganom, twelve kilometers from Sudak is a huge plateau with hills and valleys, especially the - in the summer because of the sea wind and the hot sun, it turns into a semi-desert. Uninhabited area in the Middle Ages was called "Arkhaderesse" (translation - "spin ravines").
In the nineteenth century the area has attracted Prince Golitsyn, he decided to plant his sparkling grape varieties, soil containing silicon, which gave special finesse wines. 100 hectares of vineyards and almond trees! Sauvignon, Riesling, Verdelho, Semillon, Furmint, Muscat, Saperavi, Cabernet, Pinot Gris - are just a small list of plant species.
Wine had to be stored somewhere, and the prince had built wine cellars. The feature is and they - they have not done in the traditional way (they are not dug, and filled: first the bottom of the ravine several levels and expanded, and after performing overlapping arches that are filled from the top). Wine Cellars "Arkhaderesse" have a depth of 3 floors. Vineyard Prince Golitsyn nurtured branded wines ("Muscat pink №27», «Madera №21», «White Port Crimea №13», «Lunel №24»).
But the story of this place is not entirely rosy. The fact that the creator of the estate after some time removed from the management of the vineyard and banned from entering its territory, almost all indigenous plant varieties on the verge of destruction. It took more than a century and restored the vineyards, it is worth noting that some brands of wine, for example, "Arkhaderesse", "Black Doctor", "black colonels", "Sun Valley", are produced only here.

Vorontsov House
Vorontsov's house - one of the brightest places in the city of Simferopol, there is attraction in Salgirka (park). It is a cultural monument of this cute little house, built it in 1826 on the project quite famous architect Elson. House called Vorontsov, although the first owner was the governor of Naryshkin. Prince Vorontsov acquired the mansion in 1834, where he lived when he came on business to Simferopol.
The face of the structure - a combination of oriental motifs and classical European style; This symbiosis is typical for the first half of the twelfth century in the region. Europe "gave" the building of a small terrace leading to the park, the colonnade and the original marble lions. East is represented by a small terrace, which is fully decorated in the style of the Tatar.

Five kilometers from Kerch
Adzhimushkayskie quarries are located a few kilometers from Kerch. They represent mining underground workings, which are now recognized as one of the memorials dedicated to World War II. The story is this: in 1942, Soviet troops were forced to leave Kerch, surrounded by enemies of the Soviet troops about Adzhimushkay quarries, our soldiers were forced to defend their homes, to go down into the earth; then Adzhimushkay quarry was established a military garrison of ten thousand people.
Clear organization and rigid military discipline turned the garrison into a serious force. The German army tried many times to destroy the Russian defenders in Adzhimushkay quarries, even exciting water wells and outdoor threw them asphyxiating gases, but steadfastly resisted the Soviet soldiers. Only at the end of the year the surviving Germans soldiers captured.
After 32 years after the end of World War II at the site of hostilities opened the Museum of the History of Defence quarries, its first visitors were the ones who survived the struggle. The museum, incidentally, is partly recreated atmosphere of those years. On the basis of prospecting, the surviving documents and recollections of eyewitnesses were reconstructed anti-gas baffle, well, defensive walls, mass graves.
